RHA Central Planning

The Regional Health Authority - Central Manitoba Inc. exists so that people in our Region are as healthy as they can be at a reasonable cost to the community.

We plan within the context of a provincial vision and in response to priorities established by Manitoba Health (Province of Manitoba). With these guiding principles and goals as a backdrop, we build our strategic plan on our assessment of who we are and where we want to be as defined by the people in Central Region.

Our strategic plan, The Journey Ahead, was derived from the RHA Central’s Core Values, Community Health Assessment and through linkage with the community. Regional program/practice “sub plans” are consistent with, but provide additional or more specific detail to the overall strategic plan in concert with regional directions. Planning incorporates a “reasonable interpretation” of the Board ENDs, which are outcome-focused.

Moving from the broadest level to more defined levels, program/practice teams interpret what the Board ENDs mean in practice. The interpretation describes outcomes in greater detail and identifies specific priorities. As well, the Region’s Strategic Pillars identify the means that support the Board ENDs.
